Cheesy Garlic-Herb Pull-Apart Bread
Buttered, garlicked, and cheese-stuffed bread that tears apart in steamy strips. Frozen bread dough does most of the work; you just shape and bake.
Ingredients
- 1 lb pizza or bread dough, thawed if frozen
- 6 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 6 clove garlic, minced
- 0.25 cup parsley, chopped
- 2 tbsp grated parmesan
- 1.5 cup low-moisture mozzarella, shredded
- 0.5 tsp red pepper flakes
- 0.5 tsp kosher salt
How to cook
- 1
Heat the oven to 400°F. Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- 2
In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, garlic, parsley, parmesan, pepper flakes, and salt.
- 3
Cut the dough into 12 equal pieces. Roll each into a ball.
- 4
Dip each ball in the butter mixture, then arrange them in the pan with about 1/2 inch between balls (they will expand and meet).
- 5
Pour any remaining butter mixture over the top. Cover the pan loosely with plastic wrap and let rest 20 minutes — the dough should look puffy.
- 6
Sprinkle the mozzarella over the top, pushing some between the rolls.
- 7
Bake 22-26 minutes until the cheese is bubbling and deeply golden, and a piece in the center pulls cleanly without raw dough.
- 8
Cool 5 minutes before tearing apart.
