Cucumber Gin Gimlet
Three ingredients that argue well — gin, lime cordial, cucumber. Shaken with ice, served up, garnished with a paper-thin cucumber ribbon.
Ingredients
- 2 oz London dry gin (Tanqueray or Beefeater)
- 4 thin slice english cucumber
- 0.75 oz fresh lime juice
- 0.75 oz simple syrup
- 1 cucumber ribbon, for garnish
- ice
How to cook
- 1
In a cocktail shaker, muddle the cucumber slices with the simple syrup until the cucumber breaks down and releases its juice.
- 2
Add the gin and lime juice. Fill the shaker with ice.
- 3
Shake hard for 12 seconds — the outside of the shaker should be frosty.
- 4
Double-strain into a chilled coupe so no cucumber bits make it through.
- 5
Drape a thin cucumber ribbon over the rim or float it in the glass.
